NYMB is in Need of Dairy and Soy-Restricted Breast Milk!

Meet George!

George was born at 1lb 7 oz. at 29 weeks. He spent almost four months in the NICU. Help George get the nutrients he needs!

George has been diagnosed with failure to thrive, intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), constipation, and gastroesophageal

reflux disease (GERD). These conditions have contributed to his minimal weight gain.

Why George needs dairy and soy-restricted milk

George has been treated with Pepcid and Prevacid for GERD. This led to no improvement. He has tried multiple formulas, but

would get constipated and throw up, while also failing to gain weight.

George has tried Neosure, Alimentum, and Nutramigen for constipation and vomiting. These had no effect.

George turned one year old on April 14th, and only weighs 14 lbs. and 5 oz. which is the average size of a three-month-old.

George has Gastroparesis which is a condition that prevents proper stomach emptying.

So far, the only food George can tolerate is dairy and soy-restricted breast milk.
