Hope and Healing Family Center

My name is Suzette Jules-Jack and I am the Founder and Chief Executive Director of Hope and Healing Family Center, Inc (HHFC). HHFC is a non-profit organization established in September of 2014. After I received my doula training in 2014 it was birthed in me a strong desire to provide a respectful and quality service to low-income families. I decided to focus on Brownsville, East New York, Bedford Stuyvesant, and neighboring low-income communities.  Hope and Healing Family Center serves the community by providing the following services: Community Birthing (Doula), Postpartum and Breastfeeding Support, Case Management, and our most profound service – the Brownsville Breast Milk Depot.

Hope and Healing Family Center’s complete approach to the birthing process has been, for some families, a major solution in lowering pre-term births and increasing resources as well as improving who has access to those resources. As the Founder and Executive Director, my mission is to reduce maternal and early childhood health disparities by empowering families through education and resources.

It’s an honor to host Brownsville Breast Milk Depot, the first in the community, in partnership with The New York Milk Bank. Through an extensive screening and submission process that verifies the health of the mother and the milk she donates, the Brownsville Breast Milk Depot ensures a safe alternative for mothers who want to breastfeed their newborns but cannot.

HHFC is here to serve you. These services are a major solution in lowering preterm births and preventing health disparities in low-income communities.
